Full-Time Staff Positions at DCPS

As part of our partnership with DCPS, the Education Fund posts listings for vacancies that directly impact initiatives that are supported by our work.  Please see the listings below for current opportunities with DCPS:

 

Manager of DCPS Aspiring Leaders Program: DC Public Education Fund is looking for highly motivated and skilled talent to collaborate with staff in the Office of Human Capital at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS).  The Manager of DCPS Aspiring Leaders Program will design and launch a new cutting edge, comprehensive training program for aspiring leaders to create an internal school leadership pipeline that will run parallel to other development pipelines. The Manager will work closely with members of the DCPS Principal Effectiveness team to ensure that every DCPS school is led by a highly effective principal by 2015. This work includes significant training program design, needs assessment, planning and coordination, and facilitation responsibilities, and requires selected candidates to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement this program. This is a unique opportunity to work with an expanding team dedicated to developing DCPS’ human capital management strategies for improving school leadership.

Manager of Leadership Development: DC Public Education Fund is looking for highly motivated and skilled talent to collaborate with staff in the Office of Human Capital at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS).  The Manager of Leadership Development will design professional learning experiences for and implement assessments of leadership development opportunities for current and aspiring leaders. The Manager will work closely with the Principal Effectiveness team members to ensure that every DCPS school is led by a highly effective principal by 2015. This work includes significant design, facilitation and evaluation responsibilities, and requires selected candidates to effectively diagnose and prescribe responses to leadership needs across a range of positions in DCPS. This is a unique opportunity to work with an expanding team dedicated to developing DCPS’ human capital management strategies for improving school leadership.

Internship Positions

  • Graduate Intern--Corporate Engagement: The Graduate Intern--Corporate Engagement will work in close consultation with the Director of Operations and Executive Director to pilot a corporate engagement strategy in order to develop a new community of local corporations who are committed to DC public school reform.   • Undergraduate Development Intern: Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Undergraduate Development Intern will support DC Public Education Fund's fundraising work by assisting the team in maintaining recordkeeping systems and files for existing major donors, assembling profiles, and compiling research on existing and potential funders for DCPS programs and initiatives. Additionally, the Undergraduate Development Intern will have the opportunity to contribute to one to two long-term projects based on the intern's interests and staff needs.
