Kesson Anderson
Development Manager

 

Kesson is a Development Manager with the DC Public Education Fund. As Development Associate, Kesson raises funds for initiatives that drive the creation, development and expansion of compelling and effective schools within DCPS. Kesson also works closely with DCPS program teams to monitor progress, spending, and reporting for these initiatives.

 

Prior to joining the Education Fund, Kesson worked at Teach For America’s Atlanta summer institute as a Corps Member Advisor, coaching and training new corps members in effective teacher practices; and as a Site Director at Heads Up, a non-profit organization in Washington, DC. As Site Director, Kesson managed a literacy-based after school and summer program for over 175 students at a southeast DC elementary school. Kesson began her career in education as an Atlanta Public Schools kindergarten teacher, where she taught for two years as a Teach For America corps member.

 

Kesson graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Studies and Psychology.
