Fight For Children Pledges $250,000 to Support Training for New School-Based Personnel Assessment System

June 3, 2009 -- Fight For Children has pledged $250,000 to develop curriculum and support the implementation for DCPS' new school-based personnel assessment system (called IMPACT). Among the innovations in the IMPACT system are the use of student achievement data and the introduction of Master Educators–subject-based expert teachers–to help assess and improve instructional performance. IMPACT will be officially launched by DCPS in August 2009 and will be used for the 2009-2010 school year.
