Art Night celebrates the arts in DC Public Schools and features over fifty pieces of original artwork from students at all grade levels and teachers. This week-long showcase takes place at the Pepco Edison Place Gallery from May 6 through 14, and culminates with an evening reception and auction on Wednesday, May 14 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm (VIP reception begins at 6:00 pm).

Study Reveals Positive Outcomes with Blended Learning January 31, 2014
DCPS sees great potential in blended learning to accelerate student achievement and support teachers through small group instruction, data teachers can use in real time and personalized learning, addressing unique student needs. DCPS’ blended learning work was recently featured in a case study by the American Enterprise Institute, noting the ways in which DCPS is taking the lead nation in providing access to online learning and technology, among other findings.
Significant Growth on TUDA for DCPS December 18, 2013
The result show big gains in Math and Reading for DCPS 4th & 8th Graders. DC Public Schools (DCPS) showed the greatest growth of any urban school district in the country on the 2013 Trial Urban District Assessment, Mayor Vincent C. Gray and DCPS Chancellor Kaya Henderson announced today. DCPS is the only school district in the nation to see statistically significant growth in all tested grades and subject areas.
