Our Mission: Supporting effective teaching and high achievement in every classroom, in every school, in DC Public Schools.

“The DC Public Education Fund has made it easy for everyone — national foundations, local foundations, private citizens — to support innovations that benefit our public school students. The Fund’s impact is huge and reverses a decade during which there was no reliable way to invest directly in reform of the public schools.”

- Katherine Bradley, President, CityBridge Foundation

Other Ways To Get Involved

Even if you cannot make a financial contribution to DC Public Schools, there are many other ways you can get involved and support efforts to improve student achievement.

Join the Young Professionals Committee

DC Education Fund’s Young Professionals Committee (YPC) is a group of involved, enthusiastic DC-area individuals committed to education reform. Find out more on the Young Professionals Committee page.

Volunteer

You don’t have to be a parent to get involved with DC schools. Volunteers are key to helping students succeed. There are hundreds of organizations that support students throughout the city, and many schools need volunteers to work directly with students; provide support in classrooms, the office, or the library; help plan and staff events; write grants; and more. Visit www.dcps.dc.gov/DCPS/volunteer to find out more.
