Attend  A Standing Ovation for DC Teachers

Join us for the third annual Standing Ovation on October 29, 2012 at the Kennedy Center to celebrate the nearly 1,000 excellent educators. On this special night, community members, corporate and philanthropic partners, and civic leaders stand together to applaud great DCPS teachers and leaders.

Volunteer in DCPS Schools

You don’t have to be a parent to get involved with DC schools. Volunteers are key to helping students succeed.  DCPS welcomes volunteers and has a wide range of opportunities, including:

  • Tutoring students in math and reading
  • Mentoring high school students
  • Helping with administrative tasks
  • Beautifying campuses
